asap

With asap you express that something is urgent and should be done as soon as possible. The four letters stand for "as soon as possible".

atm

Atm is once again an acronym made up of three English words. "At the moment" is what you say in a very short form.

bbl

Bbl is also an English acronym and stands for "be back later", which translates as "I'll be back later".

bidunowa

The situation with bidunowa is similar to that with akla: the first syllable of several German words is strung together. Written out, it stands for "Are you still awake?".

bvid

Bvid is a German acronym, with its letters standing for the words "am in love with you". Similar to hdl ("I love you"), which has been widely used since the beginning of the Internet boom, it can also be used in an ironic sense.

btw

With btw an English acronym was found, which has since been used again and again by a wide variety of people around the world. It stands for "by the way" and you are expressing that you wanted to mention something in passing.

fyi

And again an English acronym. With fyi you want to specifically inform someone about something that the person might have missed. Fyi stands for "for your information".

guk
